The runners-up from Czechia found their way back into the game after Ondrova's goal. Kaltnounkova equalized nine seconds before the end of the third period. The Americans ultimately decided the encounter in a penalty shoot-out.
The Americans will face Canada in the classic tomorrow. Czechia will take on the British.
