Portugal back on the winning track

After yesterday's defeat in the top match against Lebanon, Portugal found their way back to winning ways. The Portuguese beat Bermuda 4:1.

The Portuguese made a brilliant start to the tournament with clear victories against France, Cayman Islands and Armenia. The defeat against leader Lebanon was a setback. For its part, Bermuda established itself in the middle of the table. This starting position was also reflected in the direct duel. The Portuguese had a clear advantage in shots on goal (36:9).

After Araujo took the lead early on, the Lusitanians had to wait until the end of the second period before Pires and De Andrade were able to increase the score. Portugal replied to Merritt's equalizer for Bermuda after 40 minutes through Correia four minutes later. The score remained the same at the end of the game.
