Official kick-off for the 2024 Street Hockey World Cup

On Wednesday, November 15, the founding of the "Ball Hockey World Championship Visp-Raron 2024" association officially marked the start of the Street Hockey World Championship.

Claudia Nessier, who already worked for Swiss Street Hockey from 2015 to 2023, most recently as managing director for two years, will be the association's president. She will be supported by Sébastien Pico, CEO of EHC Visp, as Co-President.

From June 21 to 29, 2024, the best street field hockey players will compete for medals and the title of world champion in Visp and Raron. Upper Valais was originally due to host international street field hockey competitions as early as 2020. Due to the pandemic, the planned junior world championship was postponed by a year and ultimately canceled.

The fact that the street field hockey elite will now be welcomed to Visp and Raron four years later than planned is causing great anticipation in the sports-loving region, both at Swiss Street Hockey and among fans of the sport in Switzerland.
