The team from Haiti looked fresher from the start and had the better chances to score. Two seconds before the break, St-Surin scored the deserved 1:0 and Brandon Dorvil made it 2:0 in the 20th minute in a somewhat disjointed game.
Great Britain tried hard, but never really got a grip on the game. The game was decided at the latest when Mailly-Pressoir made it 4:0 at the start of the final period.
In the end, Haiti won 5:1 and thus kept their options open for direct qualification for the quarter-finals.
