Great Britain defies Slovakia for a long time

Slovakia pick up their first points against Great Britain, but have to wait a long time to secure victory despite having more of the play.

Lidskai put Slovakia ahead in the 8th minute, but Stephanie Towns equalised for Great Britain shortly after the first break. Vrskova gave Slovakia the lead again six minutes later. British goalkeeper Samantha Bolwell successfully resisted the Slovakians' attempts to attack and kept the Lions in the game for a long time.

Sevcikova (40) and Hambalkova (43) only scored shortly before and after the second break to make the final score 4:1
