France with the better end against Bermuda

In a duel between two teams in the midfield of the B Pool, France narrowly beats Bermuda 4:2.

It took until the 17th minute until the fans at the Raiffeisen Arena in Raron could cheer the opening goal. Gaël Benbekhti, who plays for the Sierre Lions in Switzerland, opened the scoring for the “Equipe tricolore”. France immediately doubled its lead with goals from Abramov and Thomas, seemingly putting the game to bed. However, Bermuda did not give up and got back into the game shortly before the second siren with a double strike within 20 seconds from Hands-Jackson and Estey.

The French were not to be deterred and managed to enlarge their lead right at the start of the final period through Kuzmin. They did not let anything else get in their way after that. France will next face the team from the Cayman Islands (Tuesday morning). Also on Tuesday, Bermuda will also face the strong Portuguese team.
