France responded to their opening defeat against Portugal by beating Armenia 5:1 today.
It was two goals by Zago (41) and Portier (44) at the start of the final period that secured victory for the French.
France had been 2:0 ahead at one stage, but Armenia managed to halve the deficit in the middle third. The French made the difference in this game, during powerplay situations. The 5:1 lead lasted until the end of the game.
