With a victory in their final round robin match, Czechia reclaims first place in the table. It beats the Slovakians by a clear 9:0.
For the runners-up from the Czechia, the duel with Slovakia was to catch the Canadians and the Americans with a win and finish the group phase in first place. The Czech team got off to the better start: Radova scored in the 6th minute to take the lead, and she did so while in boxplay. Manhartova doubled the lead with a long-range shot in the powerplay. The Czechs continued to press. Kaltounkova searched for open space and beat Slovakian goalkeeper Drafiova with a powerful wrist shot just seconds before the end of the third period.
The picture changed little in the second period. Instead, Patockova put on a show, scoring four goals between the 16th and 25th minutes. With the score at 6:0, the Slovakian coach changed the goalkeeper: Instead of Drafiova, Pastorkova Risova now faced the Czech attacks. The Czechs showed no mercy with their opponents. In the final period, Skorpikova and again Kaltounkova added to the list of scorers to make the final score 9:0.
