World champions Canada made an impressive impression in their first appearance in the Lonza Arena. The North Americans defeated Great Britain 11:0.
The Canadians took control of the game right from the start. Jean-Philippe Moquin scored Canada's first goal in the 3rd minute, followed by Lemos a minute later. At no point did the Maple Leafs leave any doubt about the winner of this game and after two periods, with the score at 7:0, it was all about damage limitation for the British.
In the end, the victory was a clear 11:0. Josh Anderson (2G/2A) and Karl Léveille (1G/3A) were the hardest-working scorers for Canada.
